Dr. Waseem Iqbal currently holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the School of Systems and Technology, University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore. He earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Department of Electrical Engineering at UMT. Dr. Waseem obtained his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bradford, UK, where he was awarded distinction for his thesis. He is a regular member of The International Society for Applied Computing (ISAC). Since joining UMT in September 2013, he has been recognized with the "Employee of the Quarter Award" in 2019 and a "Letter of Appreciation" from the Rector’s Office in Spring 2022. He is a reviewer for various impact factor journals and IEEE Xplore-based international conferences. His research interests include Optical Computing, Automation, Internet of Things (IoT), and Energy Optimization.
