Biography

Dr. Jameel Ahmad is currently working as an Assistant Professor and Director FYP in Computer Science dept., SST in UMT. He is an HEC Approved PhD Supervisor. He has 20+ years of professional experience. He worked with Dean SST UMT since 2010-2013 and developed curriculum for many BS degree programs for UMT. He was Director FYP from 2014-2018. He has PhD in Electrical Engineering from UET Lahore, MSc in Systems Engineering from PIEAS and worked in NESCOM/PAEC from 1996-2001. In 2002 he earned Scholarship from Ministry of Science and Technology for higher studies and graduated with MSc in Electrical Engineering from University of Southern California (www.usc.edu) at Los Angeles, USA in 2005.Later he worked in Qualcomm and Broadcom Corporations at San Diego, California, USA. Dr. Jameel has research interests in Artificial intelligence, embedded systems, FPGAs, Deep Learning, distributed computing, cloud computing and smart grid, digital image processing and computer vision.
