Human Fall Detection (June 2013 to Present)
Description
Video summarization , (Fall detection) is a system that monitors environment of home using cameras and looks for the people present in the images if some certain person falls down it can do number of things like alarming some authorities or informing some particular person by email, text message etc. its major application is monitoring the elderly in house hold environment, where some fall of the person can be a serious situation.

Video Summarization (Fall 2012 - Fall 2013)
Description
Intelligent surveillance camera is also a video monitoring system that continuously monitors the video and notifies when some particular behavior is seen in some individual.

- Won LUMS CATAR 2012 in Best Innovative Idea Category
- Got 1st position in Innovative Idea category. 150 students from different reputable universities including NUST, COMSAT, GIKI, LUMS etc participated. Out of those 150 students 75 students were selected and out group got 1st position in CATAR Innovative Idea Category.
- Won 2nd Position at SofExpo March 2013 in Innovative Idea Category.
Attendance System Using Face Recognition (Fall 2012 to present)
Description
The idea is to mark the attendance using camera based on face detection. The person entering into an office, software house or any organization would look at the camera for 2 to 5 seconds and his attendance would be marked. Students would be able to develop a product and that product can be used in different offices and organizations. The product can be development in matlab, C/C++ using Open CV, Java etc., Student are welcome to chose any of the above mentioned languages or their own preferred languages.

Description
Caricature and photo to cartoon conversion is a system that takes in a photo and converts it into a cartoon, it allows certain parts of the photo to be enlarged or modified in such was that the original photo becomes more similar to the desired cartoon image. For example if cartoon of some normal person is to be made to look like a celebrity certain features like: mustache, big head, big nose etc can be applied which turn the original photo more similar to the cartoonish version of that celebrity.

Safety Driving (Fall 2013 - present)
Description
The main focus of this project is to develop an intelligent camera to provide safety to the drivers of car. The camera would be mounted in the car and it is monitoring the driver. If the driver is drowsy, angry, inattentive etc., then the intelligent camera would alarm the driver/car owner. The product (intelligent camera) can be mounted in any car and can provide an economical solution.
