Course Requirements to Complete Minor:
- An undergraduate Minor in the School of Systems and Technology requires five (5) courses at most and four (4) courses at least, and fulfils the minimum 12 credits requirement of HEC.
- The prerequisite requirements of the courses within the minor will be met.
- List of elective courses is not exhaustive and can be updated by the School
- Required courses of each Minor are mentioned on attached flyers.
Course Waiver Policy in Minor:
- A maximum waiver/double counting of one (1) course is allowed if a student has already taken that course in some other program with at least 75% similar course content and with at least a ‘C’ grade in that course.
- Students will have to retake any core course in the minor that was taken elsewhere in which a grade less than ‘C’ was obtained
- Students can not repeat a course in which they have obtained a ‘C’ grade or higher already elsewhere
- For more than one course fulfilling the waiver conditions, the student will still need to take four (4) other courses from the pool fulfilling the core and elective requirements
Eligibility Criteria to Register in Minor:
Students can register for a minor in their 4th semester onwards and are required to have a CGPA of at least 3.0 in their major.
Graduation Criteria for Minor:
To graduate, an average GPA of 2.0 in all the courses taken for the minor is required.
Facilitation for Minor:
- The GPA of minors will be calculated separately from SGPA/CGPA.
- Credit Hours for minors will be in addition to the standard workload of the degree.
- To facilitate participants opting for minors, the maximum limit of credit hours in a semester will be extended from 18 to 21 credit hours with the permission of the Dean.
- In case a participant does not clear the minimum required courses for minors, the remaining courses with passing grades will be reflected in the transcripts as "Additional Courses."
- Participants can register for minor courses on the student portal.
