We are a multidisciplinary research group specializing in computer vision, robotics, for industrial operational efficiency enhancement. Our work focuses on developing cutting-edge solutions for object detection, real-time perception, and intelligent robotic systems. We also collaborate with industries to provide real-time insights using advanced camera systems and innovative technologies, addressing challenges such as process optimization, monitoring, and automation. Our mission is to bridge the gap between academic research and practical industrial applications.

Ongoing Research Projects and Thesis Work:

We are actively engaged in innovative projects aimed at revolutionizing industrial automation and process monitoring. Some of our key projects include:

AI-Powered CCTV Systems:

We are developing a unified, plug-and-play solution to transform standard CCTV cameras into intelligent AI-powered systems. This advanced technology automates surveillance and monitoring activities in industries. The system is designed to detect and track anomalies across Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) domains and includes features such as facial recognition and vehicle number plate recognition.

Automated Parcel/Object Sorting System:

 

 

This project aims to automate the labor-intensive parcel sorting processes commonly used by logistics companies. Using advanced camera systems, our solution reads labels, QR codes, barcodes, names, and addresses on parcels. It then automatically sorts them on a conveyor belt system equipped with multiple sorters, significantly enhancing efficiency and reducing manual effort.

AI-Driven Custom Dress Designing:

 

We are addressing a major challenge in the fashion industry “cost-effective custom dresses”. Our solution involves developing an app that can automatically take precise body measurements and allow users to customize dress patterns with just a few clicks. Leveraging AI, the app generates cutting patterns tailored to the user’s measurements and design preferences. These patterns are then utilized for fully automated cutting and stitching, providing a seamless end-to-end solution.

Drone-Based Warehouse Monitoring:

 

We are designing an autonomous drone system capable of navigating and operating within indoor environments. This system is equipped to detect hazards, such as fires, inside warehouses, ensuring enhanced safety and operational efficiency.

We are continually exploring new opportunities to innovate and expand our work in these and related areas. Our research group welcomes industrial collaborations to co-develop solutions that address real-world challenges.
