The Advanced Visual Intelligence & Multimedia Research Group (AVIMRG) at the University of Management and Technology (UMT) Lahore conducts pioneering research in image and video analysis, computer vision, deep learning, and multimedia integrity. By harnessing state-of-the-art techniques—such as deep-fake detection and facial expression localization, the group addresses pressing challenges in digital media security, healthcare imaging, and automated surveillance.
Looking ahead, AVIMRG aims to unite faculty, graduate students, and industry partners in a collaborative research environment. With access to high-performance computing resources and advanced data collection facilities at UMT’s high-performance lab, the group pursues interdisciplinary projects that push the boundaries of AI-driven applications. Researchers at AVIMRG will actively contribute to academic journals and international conferences, ensuring that innovative theoretical work transforms into impactful, practical solutions.
