International Conference on Trends in Software Engineering-ICTSE 2025

The Department of Software Engineering, UMT successfully hosted the International Conference on Trends in Software Engineering (ICTSE) 2025 on November 18, 2025, at Hakeem Saeed Hall, UMT Main Campus, Lahore. ICTSE 2025 marked a historic milestone as the Department's first-ever international conference, bringing together global thought leaders, researchers, industry experts, and students to explore emerging trends and innovations in Software Engineering. The conference featured Tech Talks by international speakers, hands-on Workshops, competitive Hackathons, and an insightful Panel Discussion.
OPENING CEREMONY
The conference was inaugurated with a warm welcome address by Dr. Tayyaba Anees, Associate Professor & Chairperson, Department of Software Engineering, UMT, who served as the Conference Convener. She outlined the vision behind ICTSE 2025, emphasizing the importance of bridging academia with global industry practices in Software Engineering.

The opening session was also addressed by Prof. Dr. Atif Alvi, Professor and Dean, School of Systems and Technology (SST), UMT, and Prof. Dr. Asghar Zaidi, Provost, UMT, who commended the Department's initiative and highlighted the significance of such academic-industry engagement at an international level.
CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS
The conference witnessed an enthusiastic turnout of faculty members, students from CS, SE, and IT programs, and distinguished guests. The packed hall at Hakeem Saeed Hall reflected the immense interest in the conference themes spanning Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering methodologies, and emerging technologies.
