SST-UMT Student in Top 5 at Pakistan Cyber Security Challenge

Thursday, November 27 2025

At the Pakistan Cyber Security Challenge 2025 (PCC 2025), conducted under the PakCrypt Challenge via the National Cyber Security Challenge (NCC) platform and supported by the National Cyber Security Academy (NCSA), students from the School of Systems and Technology at the University of Management and Technology (SST–UMT) delivered an outstanding performance at the national-level finals held at Air University.

Among all participants from Lahore, only one student qualified for the national final round—and that student represented SST–UMT. Ahmad Yar (BS Cyber Security, 5th Semester) secured a Top-5 national ranking across Pakistan among 1,600+ participants and was awarded a PKR 30,000 cash prize along with national certification.

UMT–SST participated with a total of 35 students, demonstrating strong performance across all stages of the competition. Of these, 20 students cleared Round 1, 6 advanced to Round 2, and 1 student qualified for the national on-site final.  This remarkable achievement reflects the growing excellence of SST–UMT students in cybersecurity and their strong presence on national-level competitive platforms.
